Products Setúbal

The dominant white grapes in this region are Fernão Pires, Muscat and Arinto. The first ones are responsible for their notable floral and tropical fruit aromas.

The grape variety Arinto ensures a solid and extended freshness, giving the wine a good structure. The most important features of the new wines from the Setúbal Peninsula are the floral aromas in white wines and the soft flavours of spices and berries in red wines.

Normally the red wines production includes 2/3 of Castellan (Periquita) as this grape variety is well suited to the type of soil of this region. Other red grape varieties commonly used are: Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Alicante Bouchet, Trincadeira and Touriga White. International grape varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are also used.

The red wines resulting from these grapes have a natural acidity and mature tannins. Their aromatic taste reminds fruits like cherry, acorns, pine nuts, gooseberry and raspberry.

Moscatel de Setúbal

The prestige of the wines comes not only from its delicacy, its fragrance also isolates longevity, finesse and modernity of its components.

Muscat wines must have a minimum of 67% of Muscat grape variety.

The Moscatel de Setúbal is a fortified wine. It has a golden colour, with subtle shades of light topaz and amber. It has an exotic floral aroma, highlighting the scent of orange blossom, linden and roses. The new wines are characterized by a touch of honey, citrus, lychees, pears and date fruit. The old wines are characterized by more complex and subtle aromas with notes of dried fruit such as hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts.

Purple Muscat

This wine has a dry and dense aroma. Despite having similar characteristics to the Moscatel de Setúbal is more fine and dry, with very complex aromas and flavours such as bitter orange, raisins, figs and hazelnuts.
