Products Alentejo

Creased despite regional differences and the multitude of varieties and soil types that characterize the Alentejo there are numerous traits in common in wines of great plain Alentejo.

Among the various castes foreign national present in soil, Syrah is the variety that best adapted to the harsh climate of the Alentejo.

Touriga Nacional is one of the most used to obtain dense and deep colors, one of the distinguishing marks of this variety, however, the magnitude and density of its aromas characteristic that best identifies and appreciates this grape varieties.

Sometimes floral, fruity, citrus, and a touch of nobility and civility, this is a grape that works better batch than alone.

The aforementioned grape varieties of this region, together with other varieties such as Alicante Bouschet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Aragonez, etc.., Causes the Alentejo is known for producing lots of top quality.

 

Given the historical record, it is likely that the Alentejo wine production has provided the first export of Portuguese wines.
