Products Lisbon

Lisbon is made up of nine sub-regions.

In this region there is a higher concentration of plantations of some of the noblest Portuguese and foreign varieties are example areas of

-          Colares, Carcavelos and Bucelas in the south;

-          Alentejo, Arruda, Torres Vedras, Lourinhã and in the center of Óbidos

-          And slopes d'Aire in north.

The variety of grapes and the weather, makes Lisbon an area of great interest in wine production.

Today the wines of this region are known for good quality / price ratio.

In Bucelas area they only produce white wines from the Arinto grape, which present a balanced acidity and floral aromas.

Colares wines are mainly drawn from the caste Ramisco and have only a small annual production.

In the central area of Lisbon, wines come from red grapes as Castellan, Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, and are sometimes blended with Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Franca, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

 

White wines are usually produced from the grapes Arinto, Fernando Pires, Seara Nova, Vital and Chardonnay.
